My friend, James, went to visit his family in his hometown. As a fun, special event, they decided to go on a ghost hunt at
Allegheny Lunatic Asylum. That's it, in the picture above.
When my family gets together, we cook big meals, have happy hour, go hiking, play games and generally hang out together. I am pretty darn sure that the majority of my family members would vote against a ghost tour in an insane asylum. But that's just us.
What does your family do when you get together?

Suzanne
Ghost hunt looks fun to me (if you recall, I have written ghost stories), but family would be happier with a day at the beach or a backyard BBQ.
ReplyDeleteHey Jim! So good to see your comment! Yes, it makes sense that a ghost hunt would be right up your alley. ;)
DeleteMy ILs are huge Disney fanatics, so any type of family get-together usually involves DL or WDW. :)
ReplyDeleteOkay, maybe I'm weird, and maybe I should have disclosed this in the post, but I don't like the idea of going on a ghost hunt because I kinda think with my luck, a spirit would follow me home. And that would suck.
ReplyDeleteWe usually end up at my brother's or sister's house. Lots of food and laughing and taking photos. One brother and I are adventurous but the rest of the family are real homebodies.
ReplyDeleteWe play lots of games with my husband's side of the family. My dream is to sit and drink beer with family, but most of my side is made up of teetotalers; it was great to have time with my beer-drinking brother recently!
ReplyDeleteDoing an activity like ghost-hunting in a former asylum is something I could get behind, too, methinks.
We always barbecue.
