She was the one who said her father was an alchoholic and called her stupid - not me.

I just added a "she said," in there to clarify. Sorry if that was confusing. And also sorry to hear your childhood wasn't that great. :(Suzanne Casamentohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08306151428658707692noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-592655422199331070.post-72093225108986256782010-04-26T21:07:52.068-07:002010-04-26T21:07:52.068-07:00I loved reading as a kid. When I had to do that, I might as well have had two tongues.

I'm sorry about your childhood, Suzanne. :( Mine wasn't that great either.Rena Joneshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02328844122193024220noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-592655422199331070.post-16233261095435643352010-04-26T18:43:19.494-07:002010-04-26T18:43:19.494-07:00My love of reading was quickly squashed in 1st gra...My love of reading was quickly squashed in 1st grade. My teacher was constantly telling me I read too slowly, boy did that make me feel dumb. From then on I perfected the art of skimming and pretending to read.Allisonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00816079998450717947noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-592655422199331070.post-76745962002868651172010-04-26T18:31:48.373-07:002010-04-26T18:31:48.373-07:00I read to escape. For a long time, every time I went home as an adult, I'd find another book that I hid from my mother as a kid - guess she eventually found them all.MarathonMomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13508379163604110496noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-592655422199331070.post-27692142073588475722010-04-26T14:50:07.139-07:002010-04-26T14:50:07.139-07:00Reading has always been an escape for me.
