Macy and if I had Showtime I'd be watching it. <br />Ugh, to answer your question, it's because the producers are high class and presume in regular human self-centeredness that we all care about that lifestyle.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-592655422199331070.post-49770712673444679042011-01-24T15:40:21.971-08:002011-01-24T15:40:21.971-08:00Great question.

Think Anne Shirley, Scout Finch, Bridget Jones, Iris Murdoch, etc. There is something that resonates with all of these characters, something that I can relate to.Simply V.https://www.blogger.com/profile/00414779759503317346noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-592655422199331070.post-77388486183351634332011-01-24T14:01:32.642-08:002011-01-24T14:01:32.642-08:00Hollywood has gotten so over the top with reality ...Hollywood has gotten so over the top with reality tv, plastic surgery, dysfunctional rich people, and stories about real-life people with crazy disorders like hoarding. Actually, I think truth is stranger than fiction. I'd say "Hollywood" has a mixture of both. I'm not sure what my favorite story about normal everyday people is. I'm not sure you could really define "normal." But I think it's healthier to stay away from mass produced entertainment and live from within. There you can only really find truth.
