Question of the Day #612

My senior year in high school, I became friends with H, a foreign exchange student from Sweden. We sang in choir together, attended lots of parties and took many endless drives around our tiny town blasting Madonna. We even Vogued.

Today, I'm going to see her again. After 20 years. Thanks to Facebook.

My friends J and T got reacquainted through Facebook and after many cross country excursions and one big move, they're getting married on Labor Day.

Crazy, huh?

What stories can you share about people who've reconnected on Facebook?

xoxo,
Suzanne

  1. I've reconnected with an old highschool friend for dinner, and coffee on a couple of occasions. He had left our school fairly quickly, seemingly disappeared, and I had no expectation of ever seeing him again. It was really nice to hook up through facebook, and then to meet face-to-face.

I also got together with a few college friends for dinner one night. It was a riot - sharing stories and perceptions about those long ago, crazy days.

The nice thing is...as adults, I like these people even more. :)

  2. None. I'm guilty of not visiting my FB account very often. I have a few non-writing friends on it, but I never have time to visit them on FB. Maybe in the fall when I have more time. :)
